ALMA, Ark. (KFSM) – A local woman will be running in the 120th Boston Marathon on Monday (April 18).
Lynn Martin, an accountant at Alma School District, is running the marathon for the first time in her life.
She qualified for the 26-mile race by running the White River Marathon with a time of 3:48.
Martin says she started running eight years ago to get exercise and has been competing ever since.
The Boston Marathon will be the 15th marathon in which Martin has run.
More than 27,000 people are expected to cross the starting line when the race gets underway at 8:50 am EST.
