The annual Bikes, Blues and BBQ motorcycle rally roars into the area Sept. 26, as bikers from across the country converge on Northwest Arkansas.
The event kicks off at the Baum Motorcycle Village in Fayetteville for demo rides hosted by Harley-Davidson and Victory Motorcycles, starting at 3 p.m. Also at the motorcycle village is Babes, Bikes and Bling, a section of the rally devoted to lady bikers.
Opening day also includes a night of music and entertainment starting at 4 p.m. on the Dickson Street Main Stage.
The motorcycle village hosts stunt shows throughout the week, starting Thursday at 1 p.m.
The food portion of the rally hits its peak Friday night at the Washington County Fairgrounds, the site of the People’s Choice Tasting of barbeque. Organizers expect to host up to 50 barbeque teams from across the nation vying for the event’s top prize.
The cooking extends into Saturday, with the Barbeque Cook-Off and Arkansas State BBQ Championship, with contestants preparing chicken, beef, pork and side items.
The Baum Stadium Motorcycle Village hosts motocross exhibitions and racing Friday and Saturday.
The rally’s final day includes a Battle of the Bikes noon Saturday at the main beer garden on Dickson Street, where the crowd will determine the best motorcycles that have made the trip to Bikes, Blues and BBQ.
