The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has granted accreditation to Arkansas Tech University Ozark Campus’ collison repair technology program (CRT), according to a news release.
Arkansas Tech-Ozark Campus was recommended for ASE accreditation by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).
NATEF, a nonprofit organization, performed the evaluation of the CRT program.
According to the release, the program was analyzed against a set of educational and industry standards in areas such as administration, equipment, and cooperative work aggreements.
“By seeking this accreditation, the campus and program is assuring employers that our program graduates are properly trained to meet industry standards,” said Program Chair Stan Hatcher.
Students attending the Arkansas Tech-Ozark Campus can earn a technical certificate in collision repair technology, as well as an Associate of Applied Science in General Technology with an option in collision repair technology.
