EUREKA SPRINGS (KFSM) – A bald eagle was shot near Beaver Lake, and a reward is now being offered for information, according to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
The bird was shot on March 9, and a reward of up to $6,000 is being offered for information leading to a conviction of the person(s) responsible, officials said.
Found dead in the Hogscald Hollow area of Beaver Lake, the bird is the fourth bald eagle found shot in Arkansas in the past few months, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commissions said.
Bald eagles are protected by federal law, and anyone with information on the shooting is encouraged to contact the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission at 800-482-9262.
