BENTON COUNTY (KFSM) — A Benton County inmate has been charged with filing a false police report after falsely accusing a Rogers Police Officer of sexual and aggravated assault, according to Deputy Keshia Guyll.
Patrick Lewis Hubbard was arrested Nov. 2 for an outstanding warrant for robbery and theft of property. Detectives received a message from Hubbard on Nov. 28 stating he had been sexually assaulted and had a gun held to his head by the Rogers Police Officer that had arrested him.
When speaking to Hubbard detectives learned that he had fabricated the story in an attempt to identify the officer because he didn’t believe the officer had arresting authority.
Hubbard is being held on $20,000 bond for his original charge and will be arraigned Dec. 12 in Benton County Circuit Court. He will be arraigned on the filing of a false police report charge on Jan. 9 in the same court.
