ARKANSAS (KFSM) — Bentonville’s Christmas Parade has been postponed amid a winter storm watch. The event was rescheduled to Saturday, December 15.
Fort Smith’s Christmas Parade, The Fort Smith Museum of History open house, and the Fort Smith Trolley Museum’s Polar Express event have all been rescheduled for December 15.
All extra-curricular activities and sporting events in the Bentonville School District scheduled for Saturday (Dec. 8) have been canceled, the school district announced on Thursday (Dec. 6).
The cancellations are due to the impending winter storm forecast for the weekend, they said.
The school district made the announcement on social media. They did not say when or if any of the activities would be rescheduled or made up.
Also, the Fayetteville School District said the basketball tournament games scheduled for Saturday have been canceled, according to Steve Janski, Fayetteville Athletic Director.
Saturday’s December 8 basketball games for the Boys & Girls Club of Fayetteville have been canceled due to potential weather.
