BETHEL HEIGHTS (KFSM) – The Bethel Heights Police Department seized marijuana and more than $10,000 in cash on Monday (May 18), according to a news release.
Officers executed a narcotics search warrant at 3392 E. Garrett Ln. in Bethel Heights and found more than 800 grams of pot, the release states. The marijuana was valued at $16,000, authorities said.
In addition to the cash and drugs, two vehicles and a pistol were seized, the release states.
Police said the owners of the searched residence, Desiree L. Beasley, 31, and Marquez Beasley, 28, were both taken into custody after the search.
Both were booked into the Benton County Detention Center, and their next court date is scheduled for June 29, according to jail records. Those same records also state both face charges of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. Marquez Beasley also faces a charge of possession of firearms by certain persons.
