All sorts of bugs, insects and butterflies are out at Mount Magazine State Park this weekend for the 16th Annual Butterfly Festival.
Families from all over the state, and even from across the nation, are heading to the state park.
There they have been inspecting bugs, coloring pictures, picking out plants and seeing what butterflies land on the flowers in the gardens.
"The best time has been between the hours of about 8 and noon when the temperatures are just right. Cause let's face it: when we get hot...the butterflies get hot too," said Lori Spencer, the festival director.
The Butterfly Festival will continue Saturday. Gates open at Mount Magazine at 8 a.m. Activities and events are scheduled throughout the morning and afternoon.
