(KFSM) – Anyone with a Playstation 3 or 4 will soon be able to watch CBS and other networks live on their consoles thanks to a new service electronics giant Sony is launching, according to a news release.
On Nov. 13, Sony announced a new service called Playstation Vue, a program that will allow Playstation owners to watch live TV channels like CBS and on-demand shows from their gaming consoles, the release states.
No price has been set for the service yet, but a beta version of the program will be available to Playstation owners later in November, according to the release.
Aside from CBS, other channels available include Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and more, the release states. More channels will be announced in the future, the release states.
The service will be offered on a month-by-month basis with no contracts, according to the release. There is also no equipment or installation charges, since the only equipment needed will be a Playstation 3 or 4 gaming console.
