CRAWFORD COUNTY (KFSM) – The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department conducted a parole check on all the parolees in their county last week, and 43 people were arrested, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.
The check took place on March 16, 17 and 18.
Of the 43 parolees arrested, 13 face drug charges, 20 were served warrants, seven were found to be illegally in possession of firearms and three had absconded, the report states. A total of 21 guns were recovered during the investigation, deputies said.
“This was a very successful operation and is a continuing effort by local law enforcement to protect the citizens of Crawford County,” said Sgt. Ken Howard with the sheriff’s department.
