FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- Sunshine Dental Clinic in Fayetteville is offering free dental services Saturday (Dec. 6) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be four dentists and specialists performing extractions and fillings. The event is for people without Medicaid or private insurance who have a genuine financial and dental need.
People are asked to bring proof of income and valid, government issued identification for pre-screening.
Narcotics won't be used or dispensed for free dental treatments. Patients will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Dr. Benjamin G. Burris owns Sunshine Dental.
"It’s fun to use our skills to give people access who wouldn’t have it otherwise so it’s a really cool event," Burris said. "It’s hard work but it’s worth it."
"The people really appreciate it and it’s hard to go wrong when you are helping people,” he said.
He also founded The Smile for a Lifetime Foundation, which is an international organization committed to those who haven't had orthodontic treatment because of financial reasons.
Sunshine Dental Clinic is located at 2901 Zion Road, Suite 12 in Fayetteville.
