Dillard’s will close its Internet sales distribution center in Nashville, Tenn., this summer to a newer facility in Maumelle, according to a report from The Tennessean.
It’s part of the Little Rock-based company’s focus on building its online business.
The Arkansas facility, which opened in February, is 850,000 square feet and will employ roughly 300 workers when it is fully operational later this year, a company spokeswoman told the online publication Monday.
Roughly 125 employees in Nashville will be without their jobs, according to the report. Many of them are expected to be offered severance packages or opportunities to relocate to other Dillard’s distribution centers.
