SEQUOYAH COUNTY, Okla. (KFSM) – A stuck semi truck held up traffic along Interstate 40 in Sequoyah County, Okla., early Wednesday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers responded to the incident just before 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, after a semi truck “lost all of its air” at mile-marker 307 while heading eastbound on I-40, according to the highway patrol. A wrecker service cleared the roadway, and traffic began moving again around 1:30 p.m., they said.

The incident happened in a one-lane construction zone with no shoulders and a cable barrier on the inside lane, meaning all eastbound traffic on the interstate were halted, leading to a long traffic jam. Traffic is now flowing smoothly.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
