ROGERS, Ark. (KFSM) — Emergency crews responded to a four-car crash, including a semi, in Rogers Thursday (Sept. 12) evening.

The Rogers Fire Department says the accident happened near Post Road and South 8th Street on Hwy. 71.

Multiple ambulances responded to the scene. Only minor injuries have been reported.

According to the Rogers Fire Department, a passenger car pulled out in front of a semi-truck that was hauling another semi.

The semi-truck driver swerved to miss the car, clipped another vehicle and ended up ramming the Arkansas-Missouri railroad tracks.

Eyewitness Julio Almaraz works across the tracks from where the accident happened. After watching the crash, he says he knew he needed to take action.

"We just saw a lot of dust and we didn’t know if it was going to explode or something. We just saw a bunch of fuel leaking. We were just trying to get them out as soon as possible," Almaraz said.

Rogers Fire Captain Chase Sutherland says the semi-truck driver's wife was with him.

"He’s got some marks on his chest but he was more concerned about his wife. He’s going to have a black eye, he tagged the steering wheel and she’s got some bumps and bruises too," Sutherland said.

The fire department says one person was taken to the hospital, but all injuries were non-life-threatening.

A previous draft of this story stated it was a six-car crash.
