Fayetteville Police Department will be getting seven new Chevrolet Tahoes.The department is ordering them early to save money.
Officials say the department would normally place its order for new vehicles, next spring. However, F-P-D is ordering them early because there will be a significant price increase for the 2015 models, due to a redesign. The seven Tahoes will cost more than 170-thousand dollars.
The city council is expected to approve the department's request, on Tuesday (July 16).
