TULSA, OK (KFSM)- A former Bentonville swim coach was arrested Sunday afternoon in Tulsa(Nov. 29) on lewd molestation and soliciting child porn charges.
Stephen Duwel, 50, is behind bars at the Tulsa County Jail. His bond has been set at $65,000.
Duwel has been arrested before in Benton County, on a charge of sexually assaulting a juvenile.
Duwel, the former Northwest Arkansas Aquatics Sharks head coach, was arrested in July, after police said he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy.
Police documents showed Duwel had met the Northwest Arkansas teenager on the application “Grindr.” Grindr labels itself as a service for finding local “gay, bi and curious guys.”
The police report said the boy had set his age as 18 on the application, but later told Duwel he was only 14. Police said Duwel proceeded to meet with the boy several times, and performed a sex act on the minor.
The charges were filed Wednesday (Nov. 18). Duwel is set to appear in court on Dec. 7.
