FORT SMITH (KFSM) – The Fort Smith Police Department issued 428 citations for running red lights between from June 8 through June 28, according to a release from Corporal Barbara Williams.
The release stated there were only two motor vehicle accidents in which a driver disobeyed a traffic signal at some of the most closely-monitored intersections by the police department.
Operation Seeing Red 2 was an aggressive effort by the police department to ensure safer intersections, the release stated.
