UPDATE: The Fort Smith Fire Department announced that they have recovered the body of the boater.
GREENWOOD, Ark. (KFSM) — The Fort Smith Fire Department’s diving team is at Lake Jack Nolen near Greenwood to perform a recovery after an elderly boater fell into the water.
Rescue crews from Greenwood police, fire, Fort Smith fire, the Sebastian County Sheriff and Game and Fish are also on the scene.
Crews are set up at the main dock of the lake with at several boats in the water.
The boater was identified as 71-year-old Charles Roberts by his son.
A second person on the boat called in the missing boater.
