CLARKSVILLE (KFSM) — Johnson County sheriff's deputies have caught a shoplifting suspect who shot at police as he fled from them.
Levi Ranken was arrested Thursday (Oct. 11) afternoon near Clarksville after a day-long manhunt, according to the Johnson County Sheriff Larry Jones.
He was initially wanted for stealing from a store in Russellville.
Police tried to stop Renken in Russellville, but he fled and fired six shots at police, Jones said. Renken then drove off the road and jumped out of his car.
He shot at deputies two more times as he ran into the woods.
No one was injured in the shooting, Jones said.
