FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Judd Deere, a staff member on Tim Griffin’s campaign this year for lieutenant governor, has been named communications director for Attorney General-elect Leslie Rutledge, her office announced Tuesday (Dec. 23).
Rutledge, a Republican, won 52 percent of the vote in the November general election to defeat Democrat Nate Steel and Libertarian Aaron Cash. She takes office in January.
Deere, a Little Rock resident and graduate of Lyon College in Batesville, is a former staff member for U.S. Sens. John Boozman, R-Ark., and Mike Crapo, R-Idaho.
During the 2014 election, Deere, shown here at a campaign event in a picture from his Facebook page, was deputy campaign manager and communications director for U.S. Rep. Tim Griffin during the Republican congressman’s race for lieutenant governor.
Griffin won 57 percent of the vote in defeating Democratic candidate John Burkhalter and Libertarian Christopher Olson.
