GREENWOOD (KFSM) — K-9 Greenwood officer Kina was awarded the Purple Heart Award on Thursday (Aug. 25).
Kina was given the award after she was injured in the line of duty in a gunfight that killed a Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office corporal on Aug. 10.
The retired members of Fort Smith Police Department presented the award to Kina.
