CRAWFORD COUNTY (KFSM) – A lawn mower repair shop in Crawford County is destroyed after a fire early Wednesday morning (April 15), according to District Five Fire Chief Dale Ingle.
Jone’s Repair Shop, located at the intersection of Richman and Old Uniontown Road, caught fire around 4 a.m. Dispatchers with Van Buren Police said a neighbor called 911 after seeing flames shooting out of the building.
Firefighters and first responders arrived on scene minutes later and began working to get the fire under control.
Deputy Fire Chief Teasie Harris said it took about two hours to get the flames and hot spots put out.
Owner Don Jones told 5NEWS that his repair shop is insured and that he plans to file a claim later in the day.
Harris said the cause of the fire remains under investigation. No one was injured in the flames.
