FORT SMITH (KFSM) – A man believed to be homeless was found dead Thursday morning in Fort Smith near Towson Avenue, according to the Fort Smith Police Department.
The body was found in a wooded area behind Anglers Liquor Store on Towson. The location appeared to be a homeless camp area, police said.
The cause of death is unknown at this time. Authorities will send the body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy, police said.
