EUREKA SPRINGS (KFSM) — A man was treated with minor burns after firefighters responded to a “fully involved house fire.”
However when firefighters arrived at the scene on County Road 1081 in the Buck Mountain area, they saw the fire was actually from a Dodge Pace Arrow RV that had served as a residence for some time, according to Eureka Springs Fire Chief Randy Ates.
The owner was found outside with burns to his hands and arms and was treated on scene, but refused EMS transport. He instead went to Eureka Springs Hospital in his personal vehicle.
The vehicle sustained moderate damage, according to Ates.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
