FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Mississippi restaurant chain Newk’s Eatery is expanding into Northwest Arkansas and opening a new restaurant in Fayetteville, according to a news release.
The new restaurant is set to open on Monday (Jan. 12) at 10:30 a.m., the release states. The restaurant is in the Spring Creek Center on Joyce Boulevard next to Gamestop, according to the release.
“Newk’s is passionate about creating memorable food experiences in an atmosphere that is both casual and friendly— a model that has already been well received in central and northeastern Arkansas,” said Jim Lynch, one of the managers. “We look forward to extending that hospitality into the northwestern part of the state and gathering a new community of diners around Newk’s tables.”
Newk’s Eatery serves salads, pizzas, sandwiches, soups and desserts, the release states.
Bentonville, Rogers and Fort Smith are also slated to get Newk’s Eatery restaurants by 2016, according to the release.
The creators of Newk’s Eatery also founded McAlister’s Deli and later sold it off, according to the restaurant’s website.
