OKLAHOMA CITY – Officials said part of an Oklahoma City bridge collapsed on Thursday afternoon (May 19), shutting down the road.
Initial reports indicate the bridge collapsed around 2:40 p.m. when a semi-truck hauling a forklift ran into the bridge, sending part of it toppling onto the freeway, according to a KFOR report. The truck was traveling on Northwest Expressway when it hit the May Avenue bridge.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
Authorities are closing down the area.
