MENA (KFSM) – The small airplane that crashed at a Wichita, Kan., airport Thursday morning, killing at least four people, was on its way to the Mena airport in Arkansas, according to the airplane’s flight plan.

CBS News reports a twin engine Beechcraft King Air lost an engine on takeoff from Witchita’s Mid-Continent Airport and crashed into a two-story flight safety building nearby before 10 a.m.

The flight was scheduled to take off from Wichita around 9:35 a.m. and arrive in Mena at 10:36 a.m. It crashed shortly after taking off, though, officials said. Records show the airplane is owned by Beechcraft Corporation and has 11 seats on board.

At least four people were killed and five were injured. Four others were unaccounted for as of Thursday afternoon, according to CBS News.
