Pocola Fire Chief Wesley Riggs said the fire started around 2:15 a.m. at a single-story home on South Gray Street. Firefighters from Pocola, Arkoma and Murry Spur were all on scene.

When firefighters arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames and the roof had caved in. The mother and child were not home at the time of the fire.
