SPRINGDALE (KFSM) - Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday evening (June 25).

Police said the shooting happened at Marylyn Street and Crawford Avenue in Springdale following a fight at the Kum and Go on N. Thompson.

Eyewitnesses told 5NEWS the victim in the shooting is a teenager. His name has not been released at this time.

He was riding his bike near the intersection when he was shot, according to eyewitnesses.

Those at the scene during the shooting, like Michael Glasgow, said they heard the shots.

"I was watching TV, and I had the door open. And I heard [two shots,]" Glasgow said. "I thought 'what the heck?' So I ran outside, and went out the steps. That's when I seen this boy come up to me, and come running up through my yard here. He said 'I'm bleeding! I'm bleeding!' I seen him have blood all over his legs. So I made him lay down stay calm. I said I'm gonna call the police."

Glasgow said the teenager lives in the neighborhood, and rides his bike through the neighborhood.

“He doesn't cause [any] harm. He doesn’t do anything to hurt nobody," Glasgow said. "Why would somebody shoot him? It is a crazy world, man."

According to the Springdale Police Department, one adult male was arrested following the fight, as well as one juvenile. Police said the shooting happened after those two individuals were arrested.

Eyewitnesses said an off-duty officer lives in the neighborhood, and witnessed the vehicle involved in the shooting drive away from the scene.
