A man who barricaded himself inside a Rogers home, then took off from police is now caught and in custody.
Fernando Rodriguez-Montanez faces a felony charge of aggravated assault, Rogers police said. He threatened a female with a knife at the home on West Sunset Drive, then fled.
He slipped out the back door of the home after the woman reported a domestic disturbance there about 1:40 p.m.
The woman ran out house, and told officers the suspect was inside, armed with a knife and another weapon.
Police surrounded the home and tried to negotiate, but Fernando Rodriguez-Montanez was gone.
Police said he came back to the home at 6:30 p.m. and that’s when he led police on a short foot pursuit.
