Chris Workman has been named police chief in Prairie Grove.
Workman, 35, officially took office on April 30 after a ceremony presided over by Mayor Sonny Hudson. (Workman is seen here with the mayor in a photograph copied from the police department’s Facebook page.)
Workman has been interim chief for about a month. The previous chief, Carl Dorman, recently resigned after 42 years in law enforcement, including service in Texas.
Workman said one of his goals as chief is to become more involved in community efforts, including the Shop With A Cop and Neighborhood Watch programs.
