PRAIRIE GROVE (KFSM) - Several homes in Prairie Grove were affected by flooding from the storms that rolled through Northwest Arkansas on Tuesday (July 7).
Chuck Stepanek and his wife have lived in their home on Viney Grove Road for three and a half years. He said the flooding on Tuesday was the worst he's ever seen.
"It was completely full from the mailbox all the way to the front of our house," he said. "One thing I guess to be thankful about is that it's not in our houses, but it's still in the yards and it was headed to the houses."
Stepanek said his property was covered with more than a half foot of water. With more rain on Wednesday (July 8), he said he's preparing for more potential flooding.
"More than likely if it's going to get heavy it probably will," he said. "We probably will put the sandbags back in the front yard and just kind of watch it during the night."
According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the only road closed in the county on Wednesday was Wyola Road at Parker Branch Road in Winslow.
