Lecile Harris is no stranger to the rodeo.
Harris has been coming to the Old Fort Days Rodeo for more than 20 years and as a 76-year-old rodeo clown he knows all the ropes.
"Here I am 76 years old and I still don't know what I'm going to do when I grow up, so that's a pretty good feeling," said Harris.
After all the years, Harris remembered his first time at the Old Fort Days Rodeo.
"First time I came here, I came here as a kid just to fight bulls," said Harris.
Despite all of the bumps and bruises in Harris’ career the thrill of the rodeo keeps him coming back year after year.
“I’ve had my back broken twice, I’ve had all of my ribs broken except maybe three or four, brain concussions broken ankles. I seem to always be able to pick up the pieces, or somebody picks them up and puts them back together," said Harris.
Behind all off the fun makeup and costumes Harris said protecting his cowboys always comes first. Harris will be at the rodeo all week long until it finishes on Saturday, June 1.
