The Rogers Police Department has cited the brother in the case of an unattended child they found wandering down a street in Rogers on Tuesday morning (June 24), according to officials.
Justin Plata, 19, was cited on suspicion of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a minor, according to the Rogers Police Department.
Police were able to identify the parents, and they came to the station. They revealed the child was left in the care of his 19-year-old brother.
The toddler was found at approximately 9:45 a.m. around the area of 26th Street and West Magnolia Street, the post states.
The child was described as a male, three-and-a-half years old, with brown-blond hair and blue eyes. Transported to the Rogers Police Department, the child was later given back to his mother. The Department of Human Services chose not to take custody of toddler, according to the Rogers Police Department.
