A semi-truck caught fire, and was completely engulfed in flames on I-40 West between Roland and Muldrow around 10 a.m. Saturday (July 12).
It happened at the 323 mile-marker according to the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities had to divert traffic off the interstate.
The sheriff’s office says the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Roland Police were also working the accident. No other vehicles were involved, and authorities say the semi-driver was not hurt. The truck was hauling chickens.
No word yet on what started the fire.
