BENTONVILLE (KFSM) — Shawn Holloway has been declared the winner in Tuesday’s Arkansas primary runoff election for Benton County Sheriff.
Holloway, a major with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, went head to head with fellow Republican candidate Paul Pillaro, a lieutenant at the Lowell Police Department.
Holloway took 62.64 percent of the votes, while Pillaro received 37.36 percent of the votes. The total numbers were 5,849-3,488.
On Super Tuesday (March 1), Holloway walked away with 49 percent of the vote, which prompted a runoff race to replace current Republican Sheriff Kelley Cradduck.
Now, Holloway will face independent candidate Glenn Latham in the November election.
