LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) -The LeFlore County sheriff says a body found Sunday is Jack Davis, an elderly man who went missing early last week.
Authorities found Davis’ body in a deep ravine on Cavanal Hill in LeFlore County. The body was later positively identified as Davis, according to the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office.
Davis, 81, went missing Feb. 9. He was last seen wearing fleece pajama pants in the 300 block of Crest Court in Poteau, said Sheriff Rob Seale.
The body was sent to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy to determine official cause of death.
The LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office, Poteau Police Department, Poteau Fire Department and LeFlore County Emergency Management department took part in the search and recovery of Davis’ body.
