PARIS (KFSM) -- While most of our viewing area didn't see enough snow overnight to make anything stick, on top of Mount Magazine in Logan County there's plenty.
Higher elevations in the viewing area were the only places where snow stuck, meaning Mount Magazine got quite a load of the white stuff.
"We got snow here that's for sure. We got about 5 to 6 inches here around the lodge. On up the hill around probably closer to a foot," said Lee Woodard, lodge manager of Mount Magazine.
Arkansas Highway Department workers spent the early morning hours clearing roads. After that dozens made the trip up Highway 309 to make snowballs and build snowmen.
Woodard said come prepared if you're planning to drive up to Arkansas' highest point.
"If you come up, bring coats and gloves, proper attire to wear," he said.
