Softball coach Tyler Patterson has resigned from the Westville, Okla., High School staff, Superintendent Terry Heustis told 5NEWS on Tuesday (Sept. 17).
Heustis declined to comment on the circumstances surrounding Patterson’s resignation, which happened on Thursday, but said police are involved in an investigation. Patterson coached the Yellowjackets softball team and was a computer teacher, Heustis said.
The Westville Police Department confirmed an investigation is pending but could not disclose the nature of the investigation. No arrests have been made.
Efforts to contact Patterson on Tuesday were unsuccessful.
