5NEWS is helping you prepare for Thanksgiving!
Lyndi Fultz, better known as NWA Foodie, has a blog dedicated to all things food. She already showed us how to plan out the big meal. Now, she’s helping us add some variety to the annual feast, while also getting others involved in the process.
Fultz says anyone who arrives early for Thanksgiving can help prepare appetizers, and the process is simple. Just add your favorite dip to the bottom of a clear cup. Then, toss in some fresh vegetables.
If you want to add some variety to your meal, Fultz recommends spicing up your butter. Just let the butter get soft, then mix in a flavoring of your choice. For a savory spread, try adding pesto to the butter. And for those with a sweet tooth, just mix in ground cinnamon and powdered sugar.
You can also setup voting stations where your guests can vote for their favorite item. Fultz likes to do this with a few different cheeses, placing each one in front of a small chalkboard and encouraging the guests to place a check mark by their favorite.
