SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — A football player for Springdale High School died over the weekend in a car accident, according to Rick Schaeffer with the Springdale School District.
Kyler Williams was in a one-car accident Saturday around 9:35 p.m. on Highway 21, five miles south of Highway 412, according to Arkansas State Police. His vehicle left the road and Williams was ejected when it rolled several times, the ASP report states.
The district said he was not only a terrific football player but also popular among his classmates. Williams was a senior wide-receiver for the team. The football team will hold a private vigil at 3 p.m. The public is invited to a community vigil at the Walker Indoor Fieldhouse at 5 p.m.
