SPRINGDALE (KFSM)- Based on autopsy results, authorities are continuing to investigate the death of a woman found dead at a Springdale apartment complex this week as a homicide, according to a police department news release on Friday (May 29).
Emily Nash, 28, was found dead on Wednesday morning (May 27) with a gunshot wound, police said.
The State Crime Lab report on the death will not be available to police for several weeks, but authorities received enough information from an autopsy conducted Friday to continue investigating the death as a homicide, the news release states. Detectives from the Springdale Police Department Criminal Investigation Division were present at the autopsy.
On May 27, officers were called to 802 W. Bailey Ave. to the Bailey Street Apartments just after 8 a.m. by a family member who had gone to check on Nash, police said. Nash was found dead with a gunshot wound, according to police.
