Fort Smith police arrested a man in connection with an April scrap metal theft Tuesday afternoon.
Eric Gary Adamson, 26, was arrested on a charge of felony theft of property.
Officers were called to Yaffee Iron and Metal on Wheeler Avenue regarding a suspicious person with a load of scrap metal Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. They were able to match Adamson and his vehicle to surveillance photos captured of a suspect taking a deep freezer and scrap metal from a rental property on Cypress Avenue on April 16.
Adamson is being held at the Sebastian County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.
