Police officers in Northwest Arkansas will go from busting bad guys to bussing tables as part of a fundraiser for Special Olympics Arkansas.
Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers at their Rogers and Fayetteville locations will have members of local law enforcement agencies serving as “wait staff” from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24.
All of the tips earned by the officers will go to Special Olympics Arkansas.
Special Olympics Arkansas’ mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. All of this is provided to them completely free of charge.
