FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — A whirlwind suspension of a University of Arkansas fraternity has been lifted this week.
The Xi chapter of Kappa Sigma was suspended earlier this week by their national organization, pending an investigation.
However, the investigation has been completed and the national organization found that no code violations had taken place, said Steve Voorhies, U of A media relations manager.
Voorhies said the fraternity’s suspension has been lifted by the national chapter, and the U of A Greek Life has accepted the chapter’s reinstatement.
Kappa Sigma is U of A’s largest fraternity, according to the Greek Life page. The Xi chapter was founded in 1890.
