BENTONVILLE (KFSM) -- The Bentonville Parks and Recreation Center has seen a large number of people coming through its doors since opening on June 6. The center is open to all ages, from toddlers to senior citizens, to experience health and wellness activities.
Lee Farmer, the center's manager, said the facility is unlike any in northwest Arkansas. It offers a library, lounge areas and a child-watch center for parents to drop off their children while they work out. Additionally, the center has a leisure and competition pool, treadmills and indoor and outdoor tracks.
"We`re in a unique area that is rapidly growing, so it`s exciting to offer this facility that offers so many opportunities under one roof," Farmer said. "Citizens, whether they live in Bentonville or not, can come to one place to do tons of activities, so that`s exciting for us."
