The Van Buren School District received a grant that is allowing them to run a band camp.
About 177 students from Butterfield and North Ridge middle schools will take put in the program.
The band director, Brad Reeves said the students will have the opportunity to play music they normally don't have time for during the school year. Reeves said that students could expect to play music from the hit movie Frozen as well as other pop hits.
The band camp will also help the schools summer meals program which will give students free breakfast and lunch.
Reeves said the entire band staff is really excited they have the opportunity to help bring both of these band programs together. He said, "Our band is providing their time free of charge because it's something we really believe in."
The band will perform in an outdoor concert for the community later this summer.
