BLACKWELL (KFSM) -- A video taken by a 5NEWS Thursday (Sept. 17) viewer shows a crash involving a pickup truck on Interstate 40 near Blackwell.
According to Arkansas State Police, troopers attempted to stop the driver of the pickup truck who was speeding and passing traffic along the westbound shoulder of I-40 at about 8:20 a.m. The driver fled for about 20 miles into Conway County where he lost control of the pickup and entered the eastbound lanes of traffic, according to ASP.
The driver then fled on foot from the crash scene and was taken into custody by troopers, according to ASP.
State Troopers assigned to Highway Patrol Troop A and Special Agents of the State Police Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the incident.
No injuries were reported.
