ROGERS (KFSM) — War Eagle Mill announced Thursday (Feb. 11) that it will reopen March 15 after several feet of water poured into the historic building during flooding in December.
For three days in December, the first floor of the mill sat in about six feet of water and an inch of silt, according to a media release. The owners took the walls and floors down to the studs to repair the damage.
The mill usually opens March 1, but because of the construction it’ll reopen on or about March 15. The mill team will provide updates on the War Eagle Mill Facebook page, the release states.
Although the first floor is undergoing construction, the granary is still open and producing flour, meal and other natural mixes that are sold at War Eagle Mill and local stores.
