Bentonville nonprofit supporting adults with disabilities gets new home

Pathfinder said its goal is to "maximize the growth and development of each individual that passes through the program."

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Pathfinder Inc., a disability service organization for adults with disabilities in Bentonville, is getting a new home. 

According to its website, Pathfinder is now located at 2616 South Walton Boulevard.  

The nonprofit organization offers services for adults with developmental disabilities to help them "learn the skills that provide them the opportunity to become self-sufficient members of the community," the website said. 

Pathfinder said its goal is to "maximize the growth and development of each individual that passes through the program." 

Here is a list of services offered according to Pathfinder's website.

Services

  • Community inclusion
  • Daily living skills training
  • Socialization
  • Work opportunities/supported employment
  • Pre-employment transition services
  • Transportation to and from day program services and special community events
  • Therapy services - occupational, physical, and speech

Eligibility requirements

  • Must be diagnosed with a developmental disability
  • For ages 18-21, a high school diploma or completion of a school certificate is required
  • Completion of school is not necessary for those over 21.
  • Current documentation of disability psychological or physical.
